Healing and MAP

In the early 90s, I began making flower essences  shortly after joining the Healing Arts Team at Breitenbush Hot Springs. One of my source books was Machaelle Small Wright's. I'd been gardening co-creatively with Nature since reading about Findhorn in the 80s, and later with Machaelle's Garden Workbook. When she published her Medical Assistance Program (MAP), I got her initial handouts, then the book.

Petunia - creative visionary

With this program (developed from her work with Devas and nature spirits, Machaelle began to work with a "team" for personal health - both physical and mental/emotional. It dovetails beautifully with energy work including Reiki, tuning forks and lightweaving, and during sessions with other healers.

The team includes:

  1. PAN (the CEO of nature)
  2. Great White Brotherhood (Ascended Masters, including Motherr Mary and Christos)
  3. Deva of Healing (and possibly the Deva for the land you're on)
  4. Your Higher Self

Set up in a comfortable place, often lying down, and invite your Team to work with you (on your own, or in conjunction with other healers) generally for a set period of around an hour. Test for flower essences before and after the session (and during if so guided) At the end of the time, thank them and release the "coning'"

You can Ask for the name of your team for future sessions. For an acute issue, you can leave the coning open for a longer time. You can visualize journeying to a Temple of Healing for your sessions. Keep a journal nearby to record notes after your session.

You can also do group work work within a coning, with each person including their own higher self. Invite the Deva overlighting the land you're on (or each person's land, if you're on a conference call.) A friend who lived near Findhorn for a year taught our Reiki Circle to use a similar method for group meetings.

I had begun working with MAP when I slipped on wet stairs, and likely cracked a few ribs!! Even though I had insurance, and several of our private (retreat center) medical team were my Reiki students .. I worked with poultices, flower essences and my MAP team ...(clay cut the pain immediately, and I had homeopathic Arnica)

A psychic later told me she noticed me gimping along, not moving with my usual dancer Grace and lightness ... Juliet wondered about offering healing (she was initiated in Reiki by Takata!) - but saw my house surrounded by angels, and received the message I "didn't want" other help at the moment! (A couple of my Reiki students did give me sessions, and I invited the support of my MAP Team.) ... 💖🌹💜

Healing Temple

A practioneer who took the DVD workshop on using MAP wrote, "Use your MAP session as an exploration of  what you are feeling and experiencing around an issue. The MAP team can only "work" with what one is conscious of, and the exploration can help us become more aware of what's going on around an issue - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. ... Using essences (with the session) can be helpful in gaining and maintaining balance."

She commented she found using a MAP-based conning while giving Reiki treatment supports and deepens the Reiki practice. When using MAP with others, invite their Higher self, not your own, for the 4th component of your coning, and remember to thank your team and release the coning at the end of the session.

- Shortly after beginning to use MAP personally, I began using it professionally, and had several clients who were also familiar with the practice. We were excited to include MAP  in their sessions, and compare notes afterwards.

If you are a practitioner, or work with clients in any capacity, you can use Professional MAP! After you've used your personal team for awhile, and are comfortable with the process, open a conning with your own Higher Self and your Professional Team. Request a name for your Professional MAP Team, and use a journal for your notes. You can request information and insights on how to best include MAP on your practice.

Archangels and Chakras

This weekend I've been doing some much needed dethugging as I work toward moving my Atelier into my living room, and my harps into my dining nook! And painting! A wall, a table top, ... And moving some furniture, filling some boxes and bags to go to a thrift shop or the tip.

Today whilst chatting with a friend, I pulled an archangel Card from one of my decks for her ... And a bit later, a fascinating YouTube video from British healer Amanda Ellis came up on my feed, and I watched a couple. Wow. It's well worth watching!

On February 16, she recorded a piece about having been sick with a double whammy virus,
Archangel Metatron
that returned just as she thought she was over it!

She works with the Archangels, especially Metatron, and shared a teaching about receiving an energetic reset, rather like a vaccine for our physical bodies to match the evolution of our spiritual bodies, as many shift from 3-D to 5-D.

Now this concept of illness as a reset is something a one of my daughter's co-workers told her a number of years ago. Her friend sees being ill as a chance for the body to do a tune-up, basically going through all the systems, tuning them to better efficiency, and often forgoing more serious illness. And it's a time to just take it easy, if we possibly can!

Amanda works with colour, so mentioned several that came up as she was in recovery, resting and staying hydrated: green for Raphael, angel of healing, and a reminder to see illness as something "passing through,"rather than identifying with it ("I am...."), peach and Christ's energy, a feeling of being held and nurtured. Pink and Mary Magdalene, 'who is a great healer,' and a sense of good medicine, a tonic.
And the Rose Gold of the Stellar Gateway Chakra, above our heads.

Now my ears perked up at the mention of Rose Gold!
Years ago, a friend who received communications from animals visited shortly after I held a Reiki class . I mentioned I was surprised my cat wasn't spooked by the dog that came with his person for the weekend, and she said, "oh! Jade is showing me that that wasn't an ordinary dog, he was a Master teacher (!) And oh! He's showing me that Emmett filled the room, well, the whole house really, with this beautiful Rose Gold light! Like a sun, that might kept expanding, till it filled the whole house! Oh, it's so beautiful!, and feels so warm!"
I have used that image for space clearing ever since!

Amanda said that Rose Gold can be used to purge old stuck energy, so new clear energy can come in. That's exactly the feeling I've gotten using the rose gold sun in a house, and I often suggest it.

Megatron asked Amanda, "Do you see yourself in gold? Do you value your heart and stomach as Golden, divine and pure vessels? Would you put 'junk'in a vessel of gold? Junk food, alcohol, sugar, ..." ...she quickly said she that while she does try to treat her body to wholesome food, (etc), like everyone else, she doesn't always stay on track! ... But this image of her heart, stomach and inner systems as Golden is a powerful incentive! I think of the flower essence California Poppy, "your true gold is in your own heart!"

"Metatron uses sacred geometry shapes to clear and align chakra cetera. Ask Metatron to align your chakras, and the shape moves through your crown and down through each chakra, clearing psychic toxins from your body and chakras." Archangel Oracle Cards.

Here's the Rose Gold, Cosmic Gateway process she shared (it's about 35-40 minutes in on the video)
  • Get comfortable, perhaps light a candle
  • Breathe in gold, breath gold out...
  • Breathe in gold, breath gold out...
  • Breathe in gold, breath gold out...
  • Breathe gold into your organs, your bones, your liver, skin, hair, finger and toenails
  • When you are filled with Gold, begin pushing it out, to fill the cocoon around you, and to the edges of your Aura (about an arm's length, like an egg around your body)
  • Imagine the membrane around the Golden cocoon - it protects you so lower energies can't enter your field. In front, behind, above, bellow and on both sides, only pure, uplifting energy can enter.
  • "Gunk" can accumulate on the outside of this Gold bubble, so occasionally "hose it down" with Gold or silver, or take a shower of golden light, imagining a showerhead 10" or so above your head. (This is a good weekly practice, more often as needed)
  • I sometimes follow an "energy shower of gold" with a brief shower of violet (1-2 minutes), as violet transmutes energy, so it harmonizes
  • Sense things around you via the Gold Ray (Rose Gold glasses?!) Thinks you touch, people you encounter, and the whole world changes!
These articles from a decade ago include energy shower and several other energy practices I incorporate at times. This one has a quick house and land tuning, incorporating the rose gold sun.

I've been taking immune support, monolaurin and elderberry syrup, and haven't been hit with this bug (yet, anyway, knock on wood!) ...
Amanda listed what she's been doing in her recovery:
  • Drink more water/stay hydrated
  • Meditate, and write down what she's received
  • Rest
  • Colour energies and sprays (which she sells)
  • Working with the angels and guides
  • Sage/ smudge (Paolo Santa would also be a good choice)
I'd add:
  • Autoimmune herbs /teas
  • Elderberry syrup and monolaurin (the antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial fraction of coconut)
  • My regular supplements
  • flower essences
As I'm in process with my home, as many are right now (the Konmari Netflix series has sparked lots of clearing!!) I am thinking of that inquiry about seeing myself/my home in Gold, and valuing what is here, and what I bring in!!

Flower Spirits - at play with the essences

"Not all of us have an Ascended Master living in our neighborhood, but we all have access to flowers. The flowers have never forgotten they are One with the Creator!
"Flower essences are problem solving tools for whenever we feel out of balance. They are like road maps for our electrical systems."
- Molly Sheehan, Green Hope Farm Essence Guide.

Sacred Flame 'BOUQUETS'

Fascinated by and in love with flowers all my life, I began formulating essences in 1991 after reading about them, & how simple they are to make! I had just moved Breitenbush Hot Springs & was a recently initiated Reiki Master. Discovering flower essences at that time was perfect!

Synchronously, a few weeks later, another NW Essence Practitioner, Oupiti Robintree, attended the Summer Solstice Healing Gathering, & gave a mini-workshop on essences! She began our session giving us all drops of an essence 'bouquet' that included Rosemary (memory) & Shasta Daisy (Spiritualize the intellect!) .... I was off & running!

My friend Kimbo lent me several of her books on flower essences & gem elixors, & a few years later, I attended a NW essence practitioner conference, & took workshops with Ian White (Australian Bush Essences, Ian is an ND) & Lila Devi (Spirit in Nature Essences)
The essences have been a vital part of my journey for over 20 years, they may also be an appropriate addition to your selfcare 'toolkit.'

Garden Bouquet of Essences
Flower essences are generally made by floating flowers of the chosen plant in a bowl of spring water in the sunlight (or occasionally moonlight) for several hours on a clear day - bringing the energy of the elements Earth (flowers), Water, Fire (sun) & Air into play, infusing the water with the energetic pattern of the flower.

The angels, guides and Devas of the land & flowers are also invited to participate in the alchemy. Similar to preserving the nutrition & flavor of berries by making jam, the essence preserves the energetic pattern each flower has to offer.

We can utilize Essences to bring out positive qualities, & to assist as we release behaviors that no longer serve one's highest good. They are not medications for physical ailments, though they can support physical healing, & are compatible with traditional & modern medical treatments.  My middle granddaughter, now 10, has been choosing essences for her own bouquets since she was a toddler, & is surprisingly accurate in her choice of flowers!

As vibrational remedies, flower essences act on our electrical systems to bring balance. Everything vibrates - flower essences help us align with & vibrate at a higher frequency, offering a 'Blueprint" for perfect balance. Finding our balance is vital in these changing times, the Essences can assist us in attaining harmony between body, mind, spirit & emotions; and attune to the new frequencies.

Artichoke with Bees
I tend to combine a number of essences in a given 'bouquet,' others choose to utilize one essence at a time, then go on to another.

Flower Essences are self-adjusting, if one is 'incorrect,' it simply has no effect. As Molly Sheehan observes, we are bombarded with electrical input from various devices, & even our lights & stoves, on a daily basis. By contrast, the energy offered by the flowers are harmonizing & uplifting!

* When using vibrational healing, including flower essences, you may experience a 'healing crisis' - the symptoms may seem more intense for a bit.
When you recognize this, you have the opportunity to truly release a negative pattern, & move on.  Resist the temptation to 'stuff' feelings by overindulging in food, busy-ness, or use of substances.

Breathe, take a walk, drink water, journal, meditate, take a bath or a nap, & it will soon pass! Simply standing by a tree & grounding, imagining your 'roots' going down into the earth like a tree's, will help you move over the 'roadbump.'

You can take them internally, a few drops of the 'mother essence' are bottled with pure water & a little alcohol, glycerine, or vinegar to preserve them. You may also add a few drops to a water bottle to use as a spray, (add a few drops of essential oil, if you wish), or in a bath. If you have companion animals, you may wish to add a drop or two of your bouquet to their drinking water (Molly has a whole series of bouquets specifically for their issues as well!)

The usual 'formula' - take 4 drops 4 times a day, 'till you begin forgetting!' I suggest you name your bouquet, & work with an affirmation as you use it. Journaling about your process can be helpful, as you integrate changes.

Some essence bouquets are formulated for a specific purpose, & would be taken at that time - a healing bouquet before giving (or receiving) a session, a grounding formula when you feel out of balance. A clearing formula might be added to a spray, to use around your home or office. You might have a bouquet to use when taking classes & studying, practicing a musical instrument, painting, the options are unlimited!

Here are several recent Sacred Flame Flower Essence Bouquets:
  • Creativity - drawing energy from the flowers for Creative Expression
  • Ground & Balance -   Helps 'keep pace' with Earth Changes, integration of bodywork
  • Healing Heart & Hands - formulated for students enrolled in Reiki I, or those beginning a Reiki or other healing practice
  • Heart & Soul  - healing a broken heart, opening to love , making healthy choices
  • He'lade - lightness of being, NW Native American for "having everything right"
  • I Align with the New - Alignment with current energies & Earth Changes
  • Legendary - embodying your Legendary Life (especially for women enrolled in the Legend course)
  • Paradigm Shift - when it's time to shift perspective, make career/life changes

  • Sparkle & Shine - integrating new habits, especially daily tasks, including cleaning
               (Chicory, Daylily, Hornbeam, Rehmania, Thyme)

12 Days of Fitness Challenge - WE DID I!!

We did it!!

Catherine Basu has been hosing a 12 Days  fitness challenge! Here's the link to the Facebook group! The official challenge began Chrismas Day, but some folks began later, and are sill going
Catherine encourages us to move a bit more each day, 'Even if it's just a 10 minute walk!'

I began my morning with Qigong, and a little bit of Edgu, 'spinal maintenance' which originated with my friend Jeffery 'Page' Redmond, who teaches seminars at Breitenbush. I've never taken the seminar, but have taken quite a few Edgu classes! Basically - the posture is a wide 'Jockey stance' with the hips stable, while your spine/core moves. I love 'carrying plates' with forearms at hip level, gently twisting side to side, & the figure 8s of the Sun & Moon mobius - here's a little video from a teacher in Eugene, Nancy Hopps.
Since 'best times' for Qigong are 5-7 (AM or PM) & 11-1, I did one round at the earlier time, & one at the end of the day, after my nice Epsom Salts bath!

I've been preparing for a Reiki Level 1 Class for a month or so, since a couple of friends attended the Body Mind Spirit Expo, & scheduled sessions with a gal who integrates Reiki into her work. When we talked about learning, they were game for a class, so I put one together! I invited people who had already taken Reiki 1 to refresh or 'audit' the class, we had 5 students & 5 gals auditing. WHAT A LOT OF ENERGY!

Yesterday was THE DAY for that as well, & so we moved massage tables, & got some stair exercise (I parked out front, there's a SHORT flight of stairs to the room we were using; friends bringing the other tables used the elevator)

So - what's Reiki?

In the West, we use the word 'Reiki' to denote a healing system, generally 'hands on,' but also just off the body or 'sending' over distance of space & even time. I've utilized it for myself & in my bodywork practice for over 25 years, & it both energizes me & enhances my work.

The founder of our Modern Reiki System, Mikao Usui didn't use this term, his teachings were more commonly called 'Usui Do' (the Way of Usui) and the healings 'Usui teate' or Usui's form of hands-on healing. Later, the word Reiki was added or substituted, to signify the system utilized spiritual energy.

In Chinese, the same two kanji are used for 'Ling Chi'
"Ling Chi is the subtlest and most highly refined of all the energies in the human system and the product of the most advanced stage of a practice, whereby the ordinary energy of the body are transformed into pure spiritual vitality. This type of highly refined energy enhances spiritual awareness, improves all cerebral functions, and constitutes the basic fuel for the highest level of spiritual work." (Ling Gung: Harnessing the Power of the Universe - Daniel Reid)

Congratulations to the other Fitness Bloggers - let's keep in touch!!
& thanks, Catherine, for helping get 2014 off to a great beginning!

12 Days of Fitness Challenge - Day 11

Getting close to the finish line on Catherine Basu's 12 Days  fitness challenge! Here's the link to the Facebook group! Catherine encourages us to move a bit more each day, 'Even if it's just a 10 minute walk!'

Another moderate day for exercise - I did my 5 Element Qigong when I woke up, then self-Reiki .... walked a bit here & there - at the Farmers Market (indoors) lugged 2 massage tables to my car (from our clinic & my daughter's garage), strolled here & there making copies ...

It was a LOVELY sunny day, and would have been great to take a REAL walk, but I was busy collating the handouts I'd written & printed/ copied, making up the Flower Essence 'bouquets' for participants, & doing my last bits of gathering for class TOMORROW!

It's been awhile since I've taught a group, generally working with one or two students in my office... so really want to support everyone having a good experience, & having the tools they need!

Tomorrow's day 12 - what do you have planned? I'll be slogging supplies, massage tables, a screen ... & teaching Reiki I!!

Catherine has a sweet virtual class in the offing ...

12 Days of Fitness Challenge - Day 9

Catherine Basu in Texas is hosting a fitness challenge, to give us a head start on New Years intentions - here's the link to the Facebook group! Catherine encourages us to move a bit more each day, 'Even if it's just a 10 minute walk!'

Today I was back in the pool for Deep Water Aerobics - one last class before I return to babysitting Tuesday & Thursday mornings next week! My friends Emily (a school counsellor) & Nancy (teacher) were also lamenting that with school starting next Monday, they'll also miss these classes. There ARE evening classes - but more folks attend, & I'm often doing a massage at that time.

It was a good class, and welcome after the gym time yesterday! & the hot tub was open (hadn't been on Tuesday) our 'reward' for a good workout. I walked around town a bit before having lunch out with friends, then RECEIVED a massage between the two I gave this afternoon!!

Now I'm working on the hand-outs for my Reiki Level 1 class, coming up on Sunday. I have 8 students registered, plus several folks 'auditing' (reviewing) the class. And decided it was time to get my materials updated. I've been blogging about Reiki over on King's Touch Reiki & used those writings and other materials I've used in the past as a jumping off point.

So just finished printing them at my daughter's, & will take them to the copy shop tomorrow.

What was your workout today?

12 Days of Fitness Challenge - Day 8

Happy NEW YEAR!! What a good beginning

Catherine Basu in Texas is hosting a fitness challenge - here's the link to the Facebook group - though we're more than halfway through - there's always room  for one more - please join us for a Last Day of 2013 Workout! 'Even if it's just a 10 minute walk!'

After a sweet, rather quiet dinner & fireside gathering with a few friends last night, I woke up before 7, so did my 5 Directions Qigong, & then did Self-Reiki for ~ half an hour before getting up .... well & good.

I was having a nice, lazy morning, & just finished a bowl of Hopping John / Skipping Jenny New Years soup, when my daughter sent a Text - "Free Cindy's (Gym) class 11-1" .... it was 10:58!!! She'd just found out from a friend who is one of the instructors an hour before, & was dashing home from their Family N. Y. eve party with other friends with kids, to change & get to class!! "Sampler Classes, each 20 minutes long."

.... so ...

I also changed into gym friendly garb, & walked over (6 blocks) and got in all but the first `5 minutes!!
Zumba Girls
Zumba (2 instructors), weights, spinning, aerobics, more Zumba, & a nice bit of stretching & cool down.  Whew!! My daughter & were both tired by the end, but smiling!! The Gym has just been purchased by one of the gals who taught Zumba, wonderful promotional!!

I got home, & was eating lunch (the rest of my bowl of soup, plus a nice green salad) when I got a text from my NY eve Hostess: "Have you gotten your exercise for the day? I'm  thinking to get out & get mine soon and would go to Airport Park if you want to go. Otherwise I will go for a bike ride."

.... So....

I changed into jeans, got my dog's leash, & we went for a nice hour long walk with my friends around the trails (they were impressed I didn't get my new white shoes TOO muddy!!)

Whew!!

I took my magnesium, & another Epsom salt bath sounds nice, after (Gluten Free) Pizza & movie night with my Daughter & her Family!

New Horizons

In late October, I jumped on board with the Ultimate Blog Challenge, & began my new blog: King's Touch Reiki. You can find my first post here.  I've always loved the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, & this quote  "King, did you hear that? The hands of a healer, I say."  Return of the King - J.R.R. Tolkein

And though the challenge is only 'official' in some months, the Face Book Group decided to continue in November, & I've been faithfully posting! Over the last 5 or so years, I've taught few Reiki classes, & done more one-on one trainings with client/students, but now I'm wishing to offer more classes. I've  been looking into what space(s) will work best for that. My office, while great for sessions, doesn't lend itself to hosting classes. Recently, a friend has offered to help me with promotion, & getting the ball rolling. I am grateful!

With my renewed dedication to blogging, I dusted off my 'Wishcasting' shoes, & have been revisiting that practice & rekindling my own interest in this blog. & decided to re-join Wishcasting Wed, led by Jamie's prompts. Well & good.

Last week I wrote about Prosperity, & this week when I saw the general prompt of "What Do you Wish For," I thought of my work with Reiki, & with my new blog (possibly that little Reiki Book I've thought of writing? What a good beginning!)

But as I read on, I realized that venue is also morphing: Jamie wrote: "In December, I’ll be launching the e-course so that you can receive wish prompts in your inbox every week for a year! And with that, and this is so hard for me to say, Wishcasting will be transitioning away from its Wednesday spot at the Studio. It’s time to open up the space. It’s time for new ventures to have room to grow and new adventures to begin."

So this week, my wish for myself is that opportunities to teach Reiki, Qigong, making & using Flower Essences and perhaps other self-healing & nurturing modalities manifest easily, & that students be attracted to & benefit from my classes & workshops. I wish for my practice to gradually transition from offering bodywork sessions to more teaching & mentoring.

My wish for Jamie - that all her ventures flow & prosper! Blessings - & thanks for the inspiration!

Springing forward

Today Jamie asks: "What do you wish would SPRING into your life?"

Tee hee - I immediately thought of the Spring Forest Qigong 'spring intensive' I participated in - on-line, with about 50,000 other folks around the globe! What a SWEET week it was! Each day there were a couple of audio sessions to listen to at your own pace, & there were videos of the active forms. (there are a couple of 'moving pictures' on this practitioner's page, & some of the testimonials that we watched during the course) There is also a FB page for interaction with members of the community. You could purchase the instructional materials at any time, or just use the free version while available.

I pulled out a notebook & took notes, watched the active video a couple of times (going back to the more complicated part), and after the class was over, decided to take the 100 day practice 'challenge' & do the form for 100 days! I have been doing Soaring Crane & several other forms 2-4x a week for awhile, & and took my first Tai Chi/qigong classes 29 years ago, when I was studying massage.

I also have begun integrating the healing method into my massage & Reiki practice, it dovetails with other methods.
While the healing stories in the Testimonials sound fantastic, the teacher who brought Soaring Crane to the West is now in her 70s, & was 'terminally ill' with Breast Cancer at 48, after adding Qigong to her routine. Professor Chen already had surgery & was undergoing radiation when she told her 'sad story' to a fellow in the waiting room ... his 'sad story' - lung cancer, he'd also been told to 'go home & rest' .... & went out & discovered Qigong instead! After several months, he returned to the clinic, & they told him 'cancer very small, we can do radiation after all ...'

So I'm 'springing' into spring with qigong!

WW - What's your DEEPEST Wish?

Jamie's prompt this week - What is your deepest wish?
To be my authentic Self, & by my presence to bring inspiration, peace, and calm.

When I lived at the coast, about 15 years ago, one friend/student asked about studying to become a Reiki Master with me, as she wished personal MASTERY, & felt Reiki Mastery would 'fit' that for her, if I felt comfortable with that as her 'burning desire.' She had lived for a time down the hill from Findhorn Garden, & was already a very authentic, focused person. I love our work together, as I learned a lot from HER!

My time at Breitenbush also facilitated being 'real,' awareness of the phases of the moon, of the change of seasons, of the ebb & flow of guests & focus of workshops. It was easy to teach Tai Chi & Reiki, easy to gather with others in celebration & joy, sadness & quiet ...

As we approach Winter Solstice, a time of going within & quieting down, we are also caught up in the busi-ness of Christmas parties, celebrations, performances ... and time with family & friends ... I wish to be true to myself & shine ...

What Deep Wishes & fine dreams call you?

Medicine of Light

I wanted to share this lovely piece on protection & 'Medicine of Light' - blessed be!

A Hathor Planetary Message

Through Tom Kenyon

Medicines of Light:
Protection and Healing from Radiation Poisoning, Neurotoxins, Bacteria and
Viruses.

With the earthquake in New Zealand, followed by the earthquake in Japan, it
is clear that you have entered a more complex phase of the Chaotic Node.

We wish to impart a method for protection and healing from radiation
poisoning as well as other physical conditions. We call this *Medicines of
Light.*

This is obviously related to current events unfolding in Japan, however, as
future earth changes unfold, you may face similar challenges in your near
future from other locations around the world.

This method will assist you to both protect and heal yourself from exposure,
not only to radioactivity, but also to neurotoxins and to mutating forms of
bacteria and viruses. From our perspective you can expect to see an increase
of these in your near timeline.

The method involves connecting to your Celestial Soul, the BA. This action
is to connect to the realms of light that are a part of your being.

Everything that exists in your cosmos can be viewed as a *qualification or
energetic expression of light*—even your densest forms of matter are
essentially a form of light.

In this method you connect to your Celestial Soul, holding the intent and
expectation that it will impart to you an energetic that protects and/or
heals you. You send this intent to your Celestial Soul with the emotional
vibration of appreciation or gratitude. This is simply the vibrational
resonance that activates this higher aspect of your being.

Once you send this intent conjoined with appreciation or gratitude to your
BA, you shift your awareness into your heart chakra, receiving the energetic
of healing or protection into the heart chakra. You might experience this
energetic as a form of light, or as geometric patterns, or you may feel the
sensation of a descent of energy. You may also experience this energetic
simply as a thought/feeling.

Once the energetic is received in the heart chakra, it is ready to send.

For this phase you will need some pure water, since water holds this type of
information extremely well. Holding a container of water in your hands,
through intent, you send this energy that is in the heart chakra down the
arms into the hands and through the chakras that are in the center of each
palm. The energetic enters the water through this pathway.

We suggest you amplify this energetic by repeating the procedure three
times, for a total of three times—two more times in addition to the first.
You then drink the water. The water permeates the water element of your
body, and the healing and protective qualities eventually enter every cell.

Through this action you are qualifying light, causing it to descend through
the central pathway of your body into your heart and sending it into the
water element. The consciousness of the water receives this energetic, and
when you drink it, the body receives it.

If you find yourself in a situation where you have been exposed to
radioactivity you would engage this procedure as we have described it,
qualifying the energy that descends from the BA to protect and heal you from
any possibility of radiation poisoning. If you have other means to protect
yourself, you should obviously engage these as well, but even if you are
left with nothing but the tools of your own consciousness, you can protect
and heal yourself.

If you have been exposed to neurotoxins you would do the same. If you are in
the midst of an epidemic that involves bacterial or viral infections, we
advise you to do the same.

As you collectively enter more deeply into this more complex and intense
phase of the Chaotic Node, bacteria and viruses will mutate faster. This
method will allow you to protect and heal yourself from these mutating life
forms.

It is important to understand that you are creating the protection and
healing through the powers of your own consciousness. You have direct access
to your own light realms. You have the sovereign right to engage the light
realms on your own behalf and on the behalf of your loved ones.

If you find yourself in one of these difficult situations we have described,
we suggest you take the Medicine of Light—which is the water that you have
charged—several times a day, as your intuition guides you.

The physical ramifications of the earthquake activity in Japan and the
resulting tsunami are very difficult to deal with. But we wish to shift our
attention from the physical to the mental, emotional, and spiritual effects
created by such a disaster,

Due to the fact that you are in a Chaotic Node and energies from deep space
conjoined with solar flare activity are affecting your energy bodies, you,
as a collective, are more affected. What we mean by this is that witnessing
the suffering of your fellow humans shatters the heart. There is a
recognition that their predicament could easily be yours. This recognition
can create an opening in your heart, and it is through the heart—your
heart—that higher states of consciousness are realized, and so the
earthquake in Japan is, in many ways, an earthquake of the collective heart.

The times before you are not easy. From our perspective, increased earth
changes are upon you. But one result of such events is that you are shaken
to your roots and the mass hypnosis pauses for a moment. And in such utter
and surrealistic devastation, many of you see very clearly that your
civilization rests on tenuous grounds. We mean this both literally and
figuratively.

And so our advice for this phase of the Chaotic Node is to learn and master
the ability to create Medicines of Light for yourself, so that when the time
arises, you know how to engage this power of protection and healing that you
possess in your very nature. And we suggest you navigate through these times
not only with your minds, but with your hearts—and let your hearts be
touched, for it is through your hearts that you will ascend the spiral
pathway to your own greatness.

The Hathors

Tom’s Thoughts and Observations

I have been channeling the Hathors for about twenty years now and started
posting their Planetary Messages in February of 2003. And in all that time I
have never sensed in them such an urgency to post one of their
communications. Usually, I am given several days to dwell on and contemplate
their messages before writing my comments. But that luxury does not exist in
this moment. They have asked Judi and me to post this particular message as
soon as possible, and so I will make my comments brief and to the point.

The central message here is that all human beings have the ability to create
what the Hathors call *Medicines of Light*. And this type of medicine has
an inherent capability and potential to protect and heal us not only from
radioactive poisoning, but also from the effects of neurotoxins, as well as
bacterial and viral infections.

The method is simple and to the point. Since some of you reading this may be
new to the whole idea of a Celestial Soul (or BA), let me clarify its
location and how to engage it. The BA, or Celestial Soul, is an aspect of
your own consciousness that is outside the constraints of time and space.
Some of you might refer to the Celestial Soul as the Higher Self. But
whatever you call it, your Celestial Soul exists in what the Hathors call
the *light realms*, and this aspect of you is engaged whenever you send it
appreciation or gratitude.

Your BA does not have a location in time and space since it is transcendent
to both.

But it does have an entry point to your energy field, which is about arm’s
distance above your head. If you were to raise your hands over your head and
touch your fingertips together, your fingers would be in the vicinity of
this entry point. And this is where you place your attention in the first
phase of their method for creating a Medicine of Light. (Do note that
placing of your hands above your head is only for orientation purposes. You
do not actually put your hands over your head when creating the Medicines of
Light).

Once you place your awareness in the area of your BA point, you hold in your
mind the qualification of light you wish to receive. Let’s say, for example,
that you have been, or will be, exposed to dangerous forms of radioactivity
and are in danger of radiation poisoning. After focusing your attention on
your BA point above your head, hold the intent that the energy that descends
from your BA will be an energetic of healing and/or protection from
radiation poisoning.

You then send the feeling of appreciation or gratitude upward from your
heart chakra to the BA point above your head—as you hold the intent or
qualification that the energetic imparted to you from your BA will protect
and/or heal you from radiation poisoning.

Next you shift your attention from your BA point to your heart chakra (in
the center of your chest beneath the sternum) and then wait to receive the
energetic of protection and healing from your BA.

Those of you new to this may need to send the intent or qualification along
with the feeling of appreciation or gratitude to your BA several times
before you notice a response. But just keep sending this intention joined
with the feeling of appreciation or gratitude upward to your BA until you
feel a descent of energy. When you feel the descent of energy from your
Celestial Soul, shift your awareness to your heart chakra. Allow your heart
center to receive this energetic of protection and healing.

You then place your hands around or over a container of pure water and send
this energetic received from your Celestial Soul into the water. The
energetic of healing and/or protection that has entered your heart center
will move down your arms and into the water through the two chakras that are
in the center of the palm of each hand.

Repeat this process for a total of three times. Then drink the water.

If you are in a precarious situation, the Hathors advise that you create a
Medicine of Light several times a day and drink it according to your
intuition.

As the Hathors point out, Medicines of Light have many more applications
than just protection and healing from radiation poisoning. You can use these
to protect and/or heal yourself from neurotoxins, as well as bacterial and
viral infections. Although they did not mention it, I asked the Hathors
after they gave this message if the method would work for other physical
challenges such as cancer. And they said that Medicines of Light could most
definitely be created in the same way to deal with this type of situation—as
well as others.

Obviously, if you are dealing with a serious situation such as radiation
poisoning, exposure to neurotoxins, and/or epidemics of bacterial and viral
infections, you will want to avail yourself of all medical remedies. In
other words, this method is not meant to replace medical or public health
solutions, but is meant to be an adjunct, something you can do *yourself—for
yourself*.

After giving their message, I asked the Hathors about making Medicines of
Light for those who are unable to do it for themselves, like children and
pets. They said that you would use the same method, except for the fact that
you would qualify the intent for the child or animal you are going to give
the Medicine to. For example, if you were creating a Medicine of Light to
protect or heal yourself from radiation poisoning, you would send the
thought that the energetic you are going to receive from your Celestial Soul
is for your own personal protection or healing. If you were going to do this
for a child or a pet, you would send the thought that the energetic you are
going to receive from your Celestial Soul is for the protection or healing
of the being you are going to give the Medicine to, i.e. your child or your
pet.

It is here that I would like to interject something. It is far better to
teach someone how to create a Medicine of Light than to create a dependency.
The ability to create Medicines of Light is an inherent ability in all human
beings. It is part of our multidimensional legacy. And to empower someone to
do this for him or her self is a service to his or her mastery.

I would personally hate to see this method being used by “healers” to create
Medicines of Light for others under the guise that they have some special
powers that others do not. This method for creating Medicines of Light is a
human birthright, and my feeling is that it should be shared with all
persons.

There is much that I would like to share about this simple method for
creating Medicines of Light, but philosophical and metaphysical observations
will have to wait for another time.

The Hathors are insistent that we post this information and circulate it as
quickly as is possible.

Nadya here:

I want to echo Tom's suggestion to teach this/share this with others, rather than doing it 'for them'
when possible!
Also, many of my healing teachers have suggested similar 'water blessing' rituals - so simple!
Yet often forgotten - DO THIS!!

Book & more books

Today was GORGEOUS; I spent much of it outside, doing some pruning & fall cleaning. Then going thru my blog roll, to do some pruning of inactive blogs, I stopped by some I LOVE, but hadn't visited for quite awhile.
I found this set of questions about reading habits & books over @ Serena's, & snagged it from her (she'd picked it up from Jennifer, invited us to play if we wanted! The quote above is a wee hand bound booklet, made by a local bookbinder/artist. It's tucked to the L of the blue books on the top shelf of the photo at the bottom of the blog (did you follow that??) cunningly placed on top of some of the apron 'pieces'

On to the questions:

Do you snack while you read? I often eat a meal with book in hand. I try not to get food on the book, though, & use cloth napkins.

Do you tend to mark your books as you read them, or does the idea of writing on your books horrify you? I do with some of my book group books - usually just star a passage (in pencil!) or maybe write a few words. I rarely highlight, but sometimes did in college. Oh, & then there are things I disagree with - I may note my opinion (even in a Library book, shame!)

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog ears? Leaving the book open flat? Usually a bookmark but, if I don't have a bookmark readily available, I will use scrap paper, gift cards, business cards, a bit of fabric, piece of yarn, & occ. leave it open ..... I'm definitely not one for dog-earing a book.

Fiction, Non-Fiction or both? Both. I adore non-fiction books on metaphysics, esoteric, self-help, nutrition, spirituality (inc. several compilations of prayers, & books on various traditions: Wicca, Buddhism, several Bibles, the tall old book on this tall living room shelf is Unity's 'Metaphysical Bible Dictionary, pub in 1931 that belonged to former hubby's grandmother), also Native American & NW history, & autobiographies or personalized non-fiction. I want to know something about the real person who wrote for me.
I also adore fiction - so many kinds! Fantasy, (I ordered Lord of the Rings while I was in HS) historic fiction, young adult books, mysteries - esp ones that somehow tap real events or issues (Barbara Coel - Arapaho, Rhys Bowen - Molly Murphy (turn of the century Irish detective) Alexander McCall Smith, etc), Mary Stewart, & anything by Barbara Kingsolver or Ursula LeGuin (whom I've seen/heard 3 times) & local authors! & if there's a harper in a book, so much the better! I'm always on the lookout for new books (or series!) about harps & harpers . . .
My friend Ellie Gunn just finished her first book, about a Scottish midwife during the time of the Highland clearances, One Handful of Earth. Well worth a read!
I love meeting authors, & hearing them read their own work. Our local bookstore (which sells new & used) does a great job with having several authors speak each month.

& then there are all those necessary reference books: HERBs, gardening, Astrology, flower essences, cookbooks, natural health, I Ching & Tarot, relationship, astrology, Feng Shui, Tai Chi, Reiki; & the music books (mostly harp, but some piano, some seasonal, & of course a dictionary & thesarus.

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point? I usually read to the end of chapters, but can put it down if I need to. & I can find my place fairly quickly, if I haven't marked it.

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?
Rarely - I generally get meaning from the context of the words around it. I may look it up later.
An aside: I'm dyslexic, but it mostly shows up in spelling, as my vocabulary is quite large, & if I know a word, I recognize it. I will often mispronounce a longer or unusual proper name, & have to make myself break it down & sound it out. I never 'knew,' until we tagged my daughter in about the 7th grade! I tend to scramble letters at the end of a word I don't know, & spell MUCH BETTER with a keyboard than I ever did with just a typewriter. I do appreciate spell check, but don't often use it (love that backspace key!) & I can text :)

What are you currently reading? I just finished 'Eye of Jade' - a poignant new mystery by Diane Wei Liang, who was in a Chinese labor camp (as a child!) during the cultural revolution. There were some of those - oh! I know what that means - words, & I would be delighted by images - old men with bird cages joining the AM Tai Chi (a friend who teaches tai chi & visited China described seeing those gentlemen SWINGING their bird cages!) & Roger Zelazny's book two of '9 Princes in Amber' series (sporadically)
My book club books: 'My Stroke of Insight' (Jill Bolte Taylor) 'the Joy Diet' (on-line group). Third Street books gives me their 10% Book club discount for the on-line group, too!

What is the last book you bought? A dear little book on Buddhism for 50c - from the 'Friends of the Library' rack in our Library lobby. (a librarian friend commented on 'feeding' OUR book habits, & 'maybe we should sell bookshelves, too?' That evening my son-in law was asking my daughter if they could give one of the girls' bookshelves to one of his employees - my dau & I said "NO!!!" in unison!)
I have to watch my book buying, Powells on-line (free shipping with $50 order!) & Amazon are particularly addictive. I'm working on clearing clutter (get rid of any books??) & paring down . . . do I really need more books?

Are you the type of person who can only read one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time? I usually have at least two or three books on the go.

Do you prefer series or stand alone books? I enjoy both. I love some of the mystery series, Carey's Kushiel series, Roger Zelazny's Amber, Gael Baudino's Strands, the Lord of the Rings, C S Lewis' Narnia, George McDonald's Princess books, Earthsea, Harry Potter (variations on the same theme, by the way - the education of a young wizard), Charles de Lint . . .
There are some authors that I find redundant, so one or two of their books are more than enough!

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? I often recommend something I've just read & enjoyed! If folks play the harp, I recommend Gael Baudino, (esp. 'Gossamer Axe') for her sense of magic & music is unparalleled! & Porter's 'Just David' is such a classic! (she wrote Pollyanna - this is equally poignant & sweet - David plays the violin!) & for those ready for some life changing info - Bruce Fife's 'The Coconut Oil Miracle.'

Do you have a library card, & lend or borrow books? Oh, yes! I went with my mom regularly when I was a child, studied in the library in college, & had town & college library cards several times!
My mom often said we came from a line of 'teachers, preachers & farmers' - she could remember her dad reading 'GWTW' (Gone with the wind) when it first came out, sitting in a rocking chair with the tears running down his face!
I work just across the street from our library - so usually have 4-10 or so checked out at a time (3 weeks, & I can renew online) Eye of Jade is a library book.
I also borrow books from friends, & lend some books out. I occ. get more than one copy of a book, or have to replace one that's been lent. When I teach Reiki, I take a stack of books for folks to choose from, & usually get them back :)

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?) Hmm - organize??
Well, I group some books by size (height of book & shelf) if they're large they have to be on a taller shelf, (or flat or on their sides) & if they're tiny, they can fit on a very short one. I do have themes & group things, but some fiction is mixed with non-fiction; & there are never enough shelves, & some are in the garage . . . (as are some of my daughter's books, hence her dismay at the thought of having one less shelf)
I am a Virgo & do pretty much know what's where - but it's not a system anyone else would necessarily understand!
I immediately thought of the time 'Monni' was cleaning & organized my mother-in law Dordy's books by colour - Dordy was appalled - & I think it took quite awhile for her to find anything!
The top shelf has a couple of books by Matthew Fox & one by Thich Nhat Hanh, a couple on cleaning & organization, then a bunch of cook books & ah herb ref. book. The one with the (torn) green dust jacket on the lower shelf, Oregon Geographic Names, has a blurb about my grandpa & his E. Oregon farm. Quite a hodge-podge on that shelf, N A art, flower essences, a Japanese fold book, several on healing, the tall ones on end . . .

-- this was fun! I do love books & reading.
I grew up on books, & library card from a young age. Recently Kayleen (4) & I were looking at 'Winnie The Pooh' which I'd drawn in (orange crayon) before I was three. My mama cried, as I'd just gotten the 4 book set in hardback - one of the few 'nice' books I owned! I hid behind the couch to do the drawing, . . . Kayleen was impressed!

Wings of Desire

Reading this week's chapter on Desire, I thought of several things.
Living 'on my own' with dog (& occasional visits from my grandkids & my daughter's cats) I am free to do/ be/ play/ read . . . as I please - with of course, breaks for work & other responsibilities.

My Nothing time is often spent doing self-Reiki & my favorite Chakra Chants. I follow that with a tune-up for my land.

I desire to include more creativity in my life! This week I took my granddaughters to 'estatic dance' at the college, attended a benefit dance, & took ballet this morning. It's also 'Art Harvest' tour time, where local artists open their homes & studios to the public, for a basic $5- fee.

I went 'touring' with several gal-friends last Sunday, & today took my granddaughters to 2 studios, inc. 'cousin Wendy's' (her coloured pencil drawing of squash appears on this year's cover)
Each fall I think how fun it would be to be one of the featured artists - & vow to do more 'art' over the coming year . . .

So among my desires - to actualize that wish to be more active with visual arts, to move toward a more spacious & gracious home (fine tune what I have, clear more clutter, organize art & craft areas) & to continue dancing more! Syncronously, the next item on our 'diet of joy' is an exploration of creativity.

The other desire that arose this week - persuing training in a couple of forms of bodywork - certification in one, & beginning to explore a second that's 'come up' several times this week. I have a list of things I've begun that I could complete, or intend to persue - I'm engaged in refining that list, & seeing 'what's next' with a couple.

What desires are tickling your fancy this week?
